Karma brings a rare blend of instinct, discipline, and deep compassion to her role as Head Trainer at Embark Dog Training in Nashville. Raised on a farm surrounded by dogs, horses, and cattle, her understanding of animal behavior was shaped not just by theory, but by life itself.

Her professional journey into dog training began with her own Cane Corsos—a breed known for strength, loyalty, and complexity. Through them, Karma learned the hard truths that define her approach: trust is earned, not given. Consistency is non-negotiable. And leadership begins with presence, not pressure.

Today, Karma leads Embark’s training programs with precision, structure, and heart. She specializes in balanced dog training, with a focus on guardian breeds, high-drive working dogs, and small breed behavioral modification cases that require calm confidence and clear communication.

With over a year and a half of hands-on experience, she brings a leadership style that’s both bold and grounding. Her training philosophy blends fair corrections, positive reinforcement, and clear expectations—building unbreakable  respect and creating real change for both dogs and their owners.

Whether she’s helping a client find calm in chaos or building clarity in a stubborn dog’s mind, Karma shows up with purpose. Her dedication to results, respect for each dog’s journey, and unwavering standards make her a powerful force, and a compassionate guide.

Just outside of Nashville lies Still Point Landing—forty private acres of rolling pasture, wooded trails, and quiet space where dogs come to learn, decompress, and reset. But this land is more than a training location. It’s a sanctuary. A starting point. A tribute to the kind of love and loyalty that changes everything.

Still Point Landing exists because of Leah Sachs, my best friend, my anchor, and the kind of woman who gives without needing credit. Her family opened their hearts and their land so that Embark could have a place to grow, and because of that, hundreds of dogs now have a place to heal.

Originally a working horse ranch, this land has long been a refuge for animals. Its energy reflects that legacy, calm, grounded, and honest. You feel it the moment you arrive.

Dogs in our board and train programs live in-home with their trainer—not in sterile kennels or back rooms. They’re immersed in real-life structure, receiving calm, consistent leadership and purposeful engagement every day. Training here isn’t just about commands, it’s about genuine communication. Boundaries are introduced with respect. Confidence is built with patience. Trust is earned through growth.

From off-leash pack walks and decompression time to structured obedience sessions and real-world distraction work, every moment here is intentional. The land itself becomes part of the process—helping dogs build resilience, emotional regulation, and trust in both themselves and their people.
