Nina Alfaro, the founder and heart of Embark Dog Training, brings over five years of hands-on experience to the table. After attending the renowned Highland Canine School for Dog Trainers, Nina has cultivated a training philosophy rooted in clear communication, mutual respect, and real-world results.
Her journey was profoundly influenced by her own Belgian Malinois, Toretto, whose intelligence, loyalty, drive, and characteristic sass taught her the importance of understanding and meeting each dog's individual needs.

Karma, Embark Dog Training’s Head Trainer, brings a fierce dedication to structure, respect, and real transformation. With a background rooted in working with both horses and dogs, Karma’s natural intuition with animal behavior has evolved into a bold, results-driven training style. She specializes in Cane Corsos and large guardian breeds, blending her no-nonsense leadership with a deep understanding of canine psychology.
Karma has spent the last year and a half fully immersed in the training world, building her expertise through hands-on experience, pack dynamics, and consistent mentorship. Her pack of three Cane Corsos keeps her grounded, honest, and sharp — and her ability to connect with even the most challenging dogs makes her an invaluable part of the Embark family.
